Palm Sunday

I actually went to church today for the first time in months because it was Palm Sunday.  It was actually enjoyable with good music and time for reflection, but I left during the Nicene Creed because I couldn't say the words without feeling like I was lying and the rest of Mass is basically preparation for the Eucharist which I can't participate in and thus feel quite awkward sticking around for.

I then attempted to go find Planned Parenthood's Aurora office to welcome the pro-life Team Illinois bikers and got quite lost, actually driving almost all the way to DeKalb by accident because GoogleMaps lied to me!!!  I eventually found the place where it was supposed to be and it wasn't there.  So I'm thoroughly confused.  Maybe that's a good thing.

Oh and I have a new niece!!!  Her name is Elizabeth and her nickname will be Ellie.  I won't get the chance to see her until Tuesday, but she exists outside the womb now!!

interesting article:
http://www.chicagotribune.com/health/la-na-hometown-santa-fe28-2010mar28,0,7549400.story - story of a guy who claims to be "hypersensitive to certain frequencies of electromagnetic radiation", including wifi, cellphones, etc.  I can kinda sympathize b/c i claim to have 4S, but that's another story.  Gotta get back to work.

  1. hey it's ok if u don't say the creed. the church is not there to make you feel bad about it. sometimes people just need a little more time before they can fully accept many of the church's teach and I sure God would rather have ur honest self than a lie. take ur time. also, it is ok to stick around for the Eucharist also even if you don't take it. many people actually don't, just look around the church and u'll c so many ppl sitting. Usually at the church's i've been to they have a song during the time the give it out so maybe u can just get into the song. I also like to pray and thank god for everything he has given me and keeping me safe in the past week. I also ask him for the strength to do what i need to do in the week to come as well as pray for the blessings of those important to me or who seem to need help. That's just another way to pass the time. i feel really good after the prayer usually because I feel like I have someone watching over me and everyone i prayed for. Give it a try :)

sometimes google maps can be lame but hey at least it's something :)

and congrats on the new niece :)

  2. thank you Joshua! I have stuck around for the Eucharist a few times, but it always makes me feel awkward and out of place. I'll consider praying tho, even tho I really don't believe in it.
